SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) — A Newport Beach man has been charged with second degree commercial burglary, grand theft, and embezzlement after stealing nearly $3 million in vintage wines from his clients’ storage lockers. The suspect, George Osumi, 64, operated “Legend Cellars, Inc.” in Irvine between Jan. 1, 2008 and June 21, 2012. The business allowed people to store their wine in storage lockers at a controlled temperature.

IRVINE – A month-long struggle between school administrators trying to keep students safe and parents exasperated with 30-minute drop-off and pick-up traffic has escalated with Irvine police ticketing drivers and towing a father’s $130,000 car. Parents at Orchard Hill School, which serves about 1,100 students, were already frustrated with the traffic situation when Principal Rich Montgomery asked Irvine Police for help because drivers were not following the rules despite what he said was plenty of communication.
