dude…del taco 24 hr drive-thru. was my staple in college. or else go to costa mesa for albertos or donuts.
Orange County was so much cooler before my time. We had trolley cars going up the coast. Drive through safari parks, salt water pools next to the pier, and so many more awesome things than we have now. With as many good times as I have had at Wild Rivers, I would have given all those memories up to still have this there instead of the verizon amphitheater and a water park (that from what I hear is done now anyway). I would have lived at this park if it was still there when I was alive, they wouldn’t have been able to get me to leave. I would have been one with the lions. And the worst part is, I guarantee hardly anyone I know even remembers it was there except my dad :(
lion country was all groovy until some kid opened his car window and got mauled. then came wild rivers. now it’s doomed to be leveled into a monstrous apartment complex.
Don’t freak out, everything will be back to perfect very soon. Love, the City of Irvine.
